Listen to:   'Essence of Upanishad' (2006)

About this series

About this series
In this series of 6 talks, Swamiji reveals the essential vision of the Upanisads.
The study of the Upanishads is not so simple and requires a lot of grace, anugraha to pursue.  Firstly, a competent traditional teacher with excellent communicative skills is required; one who is able to convey the vison of the Upanishads to another. Secondly, one’s circumstances in life should conduce to a distraction-less study, with a mind prepared and ready to receive the teaching.
The teaching of the Upanishads then starts working, revealing the vision that the essential, intrinsic nature of the individual (atma) and the Total (Ishvara) is essentially one and the same reality, bringing alive the statement, ‘All that is here is Isvara’.
